Courses Included in the EASA/FAA Professional Airplane Pilot Program

FAA Private Pilot

Your Private Pilot Certificate lets you fly airplane for fun and recreation - giving rides to friends and family or flying for your own transport. It’s the first step toward building the skills needed for your Commercial Pilot Certificate. You’ll be in the cockpit from day one, getting hands-on experience.

FAA Instrument

The Instrument Rating is an essential part of the airplane training program, as it prepares you to fly in conditions that require reliance on your cockpit instruments only. Regardless of whether you fly in actual instrument conditions, the Instrument Rating will give you the tools and knowledge you need for a safe career.

FAA Commercial Pilot

Build on the skills you learned in previous training and gain confidence in the aircraft so that you will be prepared to carry passengers and get a job flying as a professional pilot. Whether your goal is to fly a Boeing 747, a Cessna Citation or a cargo plane, you need a Commercial Pilot Certificate to fly for hire.

CFI TRACK ONLY: FAA Certified Flight Instructor

A Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Rating is required for a pilot to instruct other pilots - often the first step in a pilot’s career and a great way to gain flight hours. You can build up your own experience and credentials while sharing your passion for flying with other aspiring pilots.

CFI TRACK ONLY: FAA CFI Instrument

This course combines the techniques developed in the prior CFI course with the knowledge and experience you learned in the Instrument training to ensure you’re ready to instruct students on how to fly safely in conditions of low visibility, relying only on their instruments.

CFI TRACK ONLY: FAA Multi-Engine Instructor

The Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) Course allows you to gain the experience and training necessary to instruct private and commercial pilots in a multi-engine airplane.

Viviane Sander - First Officer – A320 Azul Airlines

student picture

I am grateful for the incredible flying experiences I had while training with Hillsboro Aero Academy. These experiences have become invaluable to me, especially now as I navigate the challenges of flying with a major airline in Brazil. Looking back, I realize the significance of the rigorous standardization, IFR expertise, exposure to busy ATC environments, and comprehensive training that was ingrained in me during my time at HAA. These skills have not only shaped my abilities as a pilot but have also equipped me to handle diverse and demanding situations in the aviation industry.
